Job Description

A Data Analyst Intern is responsible for assisting in the collection, processing, analysis, and visualization of data to help businesses make informed decisions. This role involves working with databases, statistical tools, and data visualization platforms to extract insights and support business strategies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Collection & Cleaning

• Gather data from databases, APIs, spreadsheets, and external sources.
• Clean and preprocess raw data by handling missing values, duplicates, and inconsistencies.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity before analysis.

2. Data Analysis & Interpretation

• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover patterns and trends.
• Use statistical methods (e.g., regression, correlation, hypothesis testing) for insights.
• Provide actionable recommendations based on data-driven findings.

3. Data Visualization & Reporting

• Create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
• Develop charts, graphs, and reports to present complex data clearly.
• Assist in automating reports for real-time business intelligence.

4. Database Management & SQL Querying

• Write SQL queries to extract and manipulate large datasets.
• Work with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
• Optimize queries for better performance and efficiency.

5. Business Intelligence & Decision Support

• Support teams in tracking KPIs, customer trends, and operational performance.
• Conduct competitor and market analysis for strategic decision-making.
• Present findings to business stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

6. Machine Learning & Predictive Analytics (Optional)

• Assist in basic predictive modeling and data science projects.
• Use Python (scikit-learn), R, or TensorFlow for forecasting.
• Work on clustering, classification, or regression models.

Technical Skills:
