Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Officer to evaluate the creditworthiness of potential customers and manage the credit approval process. The ideal candidate will analyze financial data, assess risk, set credit limits, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. This role is critical to maintaining a healthy loan portfolio and minimizing financial risk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze credit data, financial statements, and payment history of individuals or businesses.

• Conduct risk assessments and make informed decisions on credit applications.

• Approve or reject credit applications based on internal scoring models and policy guidelines.

• Monitor existing customer accounts to identify early signs of financial distress.

• Ensure compliance with credit policies, lending procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Maintain accurate documentation and records of credit decisions and agreements.

• Coordinate with sales, legal, and collections departments for end-to-end credit management.

• Review and revise credit limits periodically based on customer performance.

• Prepare credit reports and summaries for internal review or audit.

• Assist in developing strategies to reduce bad debts and improve portfolio quality.
