Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Zonal Legal Manager to oversee legal operations across multiple regions within the assigned zone. This role involves managing litigation, ensuring regulatory compliance, offering legal guidance to business units, and minimizing legal risks. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills, and a solid understanding of corporate, civil, and criminal law relevant to the BFSI/retail/real estate sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor all legal cases across the assigned zone—civil, criminal, recovery, and labor-related.

• Liaise with external lawyers and law firms to track litigation and ensure timely resolution.

• Ensure organizational compliance with local/state-level laws, including labor regulations and industry-specific acts.

• Draft, review, and vet legal documents including contracts, notices, MoUs, agreements, and vendor contracts.

• Represent the organization in courts, tribunals, and government departments when required.

• Advise zonal heads and management on legal implications of strategic decisions and operations.

• Conduct legal audits and compliance reviews within the zone.

• Support HR and Admin departments in handling disciplinary actions, employee grievances, and POSH matters.

• Prepare legal MIS reports and updates for zonal and corporate leadership.
