Role Overview

We are looking for an Academic Content Writer with exceptional design skills to develop impactful, engaging, and visually appealing academic materials for schools. The role involves conceptualizing and designing lesson plans, student activity books, teacher manuals, and training content that blend creativity with scientific accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Create engaging academic content aligned with OMG’s sustainability and farming curriculum.

• Design visually appealing layouts, infographics, and interactive learning materials.

• Develop lesson plans, worksheets, activity sheets, and assessments for students and teachers.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts, teachers, and the design team to ensure content accuracy and creativity.

• Convert complex sustainability and farming concepts into simple, attractive, and easy-to-understand educational resources.

• Maintain brand consistency and adhere to academic guidelines while creating unique visual and written content.

• Stay updated on modern pedagogy, design tools, and trends in experiential learning.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, Environmental Studies, Communication Design, or a related field.

• Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong academic tone.

• Strong proficiency in design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Figma).

• Ability to create high-quality educational visuals, infographics, and layouts.

• Experience in curriculum writing or academic content development is highly preferred.

• Creative thinker with the ability to simplify complex topics for school-level audiences.

• Strong research, organizational, and project management skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in sustainability, agriculture, nutrition, or STEM-related content.

• Worked with schools, NGOs, or educational publishers.
