Job Description

The Assistant Manager – HR is responsible for supporting and managing key HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, HR operations, compliance, performance management, and training. This role works closely with the HR Manager to implement HR strategies and policies, while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and fostering a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment cycle: sourcing, screening, interviews, and selection.

  • Coordinate offer letters, contracts, and onboarding programs.

  • Ensure a smooth induction and orientation experience for new employees.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Act as a point of contact for employee queries and grievances.

  • Support employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.

  • Promote a culture of collaboration, diversity, and inclusion.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Supervise payroll, attendance, and leave management processes.

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and internal HR policies.

  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation.

  • Prepare HR reports, metrics, and dashboards for management review.

Performance Management & Training

  • Support the performance appraisal process and track progress.

  • Identify training needs and coordinate learning & development initiatives.

  • Assist in succession planning and talent development programs.

Strategic HR Support

  • Collaborate with HR leadership to design and implement HR policies.

  • Contribute to organizational development and process improvement.

  • Provide inputs on HR strategies that align with business goals.
